 +Don't wear jewelry, loose clothing or long hair when operating the lathe.
 +Don't use sanding paper or hand sanding while operating the machine.

 +Wear protective goggles when working with the lathe.
 +Never leave the chuck key in the chuck and make sure that the workpiece is securely tightened and nothing obstructs the rotation.
