-Out of the Blue provide Waste and Recylcing facilitiesThese are the details that I've gathered from being around the lab for a while, they might differ from the "offical" line if such a thing exists. Please update with new info.+====== Rubbish and Recycling ======
 +We're trying to keep our environmental footprint to a minimumHere's what we can recycle in the lab/at Summerhall:

-|=|Material|=|Location in Lab|=|Final Destination|| +Material Location in the lab ^ Final destination ^
-||Metal Drinks Cans: Beer, Coke etc||Small bag maybe? +Glass G1 kitchen area Glass bins in the Summerhall courtyard
-Empty them first||Official: Bin at side of OOTB, complicated procedure about having to put in a large bag first. +Cans, plastics, paper, card and cardboard (see below)  G1 kitchen area Orange-lidded "Dry mixed recyclablesbins in the courtyard

-=====Where are the OOTB bins?=====+Other waste unfortunately has to be landfilled, unless we can find other recycling solutions. There are grey-lidded landfill bins in the Summerhall courtyard.

-The bins are located around the side of the building. To get to them: +**If you see the in-lab recycling is fullplease empty it to the bins in the courtyard. The same goes for the landfill bins in the lab!**
- - Make sure you have your keys!  +
- - Go down the stairs from the lab, on the ground floor instead of going out the front door turn left and go through the white door +===== ✔ What can be recycled in the orange bins? ✔ =====
- - Go through the arch and turn left again +
-Go though the double glass doorspush the button with a disabled logo+  * Paper e.g. dry paper wastenewspapers, office paper and magazines
-  Bins are just outside +  * Cardboard – e.g. corrugated cardboard, cereal boxes and card
- - Try pushing the button to get back in or if that doesn'work go out the fire exit onto the street, might need a strong push and go in the front door as normal.+  * Metal cans – e.g. clean, empty drinks cans and food tins
 +  * Plastic – e.g. packaging films, rinsed out milk bottles, empty drinks bottles & clean salad trays, rinsed out margarine tubs & microwaveable meal trays
