NYAN is a LoRa mesh network for boats, for sending text messages and telemetry such as weather data. It has some funding, and is run as a collaboration between the Edinburgh Hacklab Yacht Club (EHYC) and the University of Strathclyde.

There may be a base station on the hacklab roof at some point.
